HW: Finish paragraph on how the paper clip you were given in class could connect to the Holocaust.

      Latin America ABC books and Australia posters were ready for students to take. If you have not claimed your book or poster by tomorrow (someone in your partnership/group) they will be recycled.

SCIENCE

CW: Finish planets organizer and turn in as ticket out the door.

       Begin planets logo activity. Download Planet LogosThis is not homework. It will be due tomorrow at the end of class. Most classes got a great start on the activity --- I saw many creative, educational logos!!

National Astronomy Day at Tellus
May 2, 2009
10 am to 11 pm

See the stars at Tellus

Celebrate National Astronomy Day at Tellus on Saturday, May 2! The museum will be
open until 11 pm and telescopes will be set up on the lawn for stargazing.


The Tellus observatory will also be open to the public for the first time. See the
moon and stars through our brand new 20-inch telescope.

Children's activities and solar viewings will take place during the day, and the
evening will feature special planetarium showtimes and stargazing events on the
Tellus lawn and in the new observatory.
Astronomy Day is free to membersand is part of the regular admission price for not-yet-members.

      Earth-Moon-Sun flashcards practice with a partner. Good job staying on task with your flashcards practice.

      Discussion of flashcards -- going through correct answers. Today was the only class time we'll spend making sure answers are correct on the flashcards.
