Don't forger Reb Ribbon week starts on Monday with backward shirt day!! Turn your back on drugs!
SOCIAL STUDIES
CW: Popcorn and Presentations! All presenters did a great job today. Hopefully you used the information to add to your knowledge of explorations. Today should have been treated as another test review! Females brought back the greatest number of signed study guides -- they'll get a prize on Monday (remind me please on Monday!)
HW: Study for Explorers test on Monday. All of the concepts covered on the test are also covered on the study guide. Textbook pages to look over: pages 307-311. Think back to the illustrated time line, the explorers video, the power point presentations. You can also look back on any of the links that we used to research the explorers (scroll back through the blog entries.) Remember, we're looking for big picture happenings and achievements.
These sites have games/activities on explorers. Not ALL of the information covered in the games will be required for the test. http://www.quia.com/custom/48main.html http://www.quia.com/jq/10136.html http://www.mariner.org/educationalad/ageofex/actv_seven_student.php
Also remember the explorers you had to know: Cabot, Cartier, Columbus, Cook, Cortes, deGama, Hudson, Prince Henry, Magellan, Pizarro, and Ponce de Leon.
You will have about 10 minutes of study time to refresh your minds on Monday morning.
