       Discussion of what to include in conclusion

       2nd and 3rd period: Making Inferences handout and turn in.

HW: Finish Making Inferences

       Finish writing conclusions --- the ENTIRE Splash lab should be completed and ready to turn in tomorrow. Many turned in today.

       Study for quiz over scientific method tomorrow!!

CW: 5 Strands: Government and Civics - discussion of our natural rights, responsibilities and what life would be like without basic and civil rights.

HW: none - remember quiz next Tuesday over the 5 Strands of Social Studies.

SCIENCE

CW: Splash lab experiment and graphing of data.

HW: We will finish the lab tomorrow. 2nd and 3rd period: You should have everything completed up to conclusions. 4th period: You should have everything completed up to graphing data.

       Culture - Culture profile brochure assignment. Download olympic_country_culture_brochure.doc If you have time this weekend, do some research on your country. We'll work on research and the brochure final product on Monday.

CW: Discussion of variables

        2nd and 3rd period: MythBusters and the scientific method

HW: 4th period - BOTH sides of Simpsons variables handout is due Monday.

*** The sixth grade is in need of parent volunteers to help in the copy room! If you have a few hours to spare during the week and are willing to be trained to use the copiers, please email me! The help is greatly appreciated!!

       Economics: Shopping activity - personal consumer spending choices.

       Economics: Soup cans activity - premium brands v. store brands - how do they affect our buying habits and what's the best deal?

HW: none. Bring the soup can handout and your stellar dollar shopping list to class tomorrow.

SCIENCE

CW: Class discussion of homework assignment - Variables. Turn in. Begin work on Simpsons variables practice handout.

       4th period did not receive the Simpsons variables handout. We will work on this in class tomorrow.

       Finish penny lab with conclusions and hand in

       2nd and 3rd period classes went over syllabus and lab safety contracts. These are to be signed and returned by Friday. (On the syllabus, only the designated portion must be returned)

HW: 2nd and 3rd period classes were assigned a Variables handout as homework. Complete and bring to class tomorrow.
