BUDDY PICTURES!  If you would like to be in a buddy picture, they will be taken Feb. 2nd in room 731.  You can only be in a maximum of 2 groups.  Groups may only be up to 5 students of the same grade level.  (You may take a picture with your sister or brother from LMMS if you want as one of your pictures.) Each person in the picture must pay $10.  You must sign up for buddy pictures Jan. 25th - Feb. 1st in the 7th grade commons between 8:40-9:10.  Order forms are coming next week.

Math:  We did our MMM today on simplifying fractions.  Please practice so that you can complete 40 out of 50 this quarter. Name symmetry activities and p.466 from the book were due today.  If you did not turn these assignments in, they will be graded as classwork assignments.  Please turn them in tomorrow for 10 points off.  We reviewed our Unit 3B test and continued to work on percent of a number as our main focus.  If you have specific questions about the test, please see me any day during homeroom. 

Today our focus was on line symmetry again.  I gave hints of covering the figure partially with your hand or a card as well as physically rotating your book or figure on your desk to see if the figure has line symmetry.  Keeper notes were given.  Students began practicing on a worksheet for line symmetry.

HW:  Finish your classwork activity on line symmetry (be sure to draw and tell lines of symmetry), complete your study guide (use your keeper notes to help you with rotational symmetry), Unit 5 Test is Friday, Study session tomorrow at 8:20 am

Enrichment:  Bar graphs were turned in.  Students wrote down their new list of vocabulary about Unit 2 Number Theory in their agenda.  Our study strategy this week is flashcards.  Students used their math resources to write the word and hint on the front and a definition on the back.  Students silently read for their log afterwards.
