BUDDY PICTURES!  If you would like to be in a buddy picture, they will be taken Feb. 2nd in room 731.  You can be in a maximum of 2 groups.  Groups may only be up to 5 students of the same grade level.  (You may take a picture with your sister or brother from LMMS if you want as one of your pictures.) Each person in the picture must pay $10.  You must sign up for buddy pictures Jan. 27th - Feb. 1st in the 7th grade commons between 8:40-9:10.  Order forms are coming home today.

Our 20th Anniversary and Curriculum Night will be Feb. 2nd at 6:30 pm.  This is a great time to come and see the concepts the students have been learning this year! Go to our website for more information.

Math: Our MMM this week is simplifying  fractions. Today we learned how to measure to the 1/2,1/4,1/8,1/16 of an inch.  Remember that 1/16 is every little line between inches. 1/4 is every 4 lines, 1/2 is every 8 lines and 1/8 is every 2 lines. Rotational symmetry performance tasks were turned in.  If you did not turn it in, it is 10 points off tomorrow and then it drops to a 60%.

HW:  Finish BOTH measurement activities (do not do the "bike" side), print the Unit 6 parent letter and read and keep in your binder

Enrichment:  We checked our factors and multiples worksheet.  We made a flapbook for our study strategy this week and used it to define our vocabulary words on Rational Numbers.
