6th Grade Monday 11-28-11: We discussed the Cold War and the stdents took a few power point notes. Also, I had the students share what they did over the break. It was a good day in class...keep up the good work!

In a test format, you should be able to explain each of the elements listed below: 6th grade standards currently being studied: SS6H7

The student will explain conflict and change in Europe to the 21st century.

Element: SS6H7.a

Describe major developments following World War I: the Russian Revolution, the Treaty of Versailles, worldwide depression, and the rise of Nazism.

Element: SS6H7.b

Explain the impact of WWII in terms of the Holocaust, the origins of the Cold War, and the rise of Superpowers.

Element: SS6H7.c

Explain how the collapse of the Soviet Union led to the end of the Cold War and German reunification.

 

8th Grade Homework for Monday 11-28-11:complete the front and back of entry 5 - CRCT Review (U.S. and Georgia State Constitution). 1st period: I expect you to come in tomorrow a little more focused and on task. The reading quiz scores from 11-16-11 were not what I was expecting. The scores indicate to me that you didn't do the reading assignment (pages 502-509) prior to the quiz.
