6th Grade: No Homework
We will begin our standard SS6G11 - Learning about the culture of Europe. Our first topic of culture is religion.
EQ: What are the 3 main religions of Europe?
(Islam, Christianity, and Judaism)
They are learning about the basics of major religions of Europe, just general facts and information. We do not teach what students should believe, or that any religion is better/worse than any other. Questions do come up in class, that can not really be addressed in our neutral learning environment, so parents may get questions at home about these religions. We try to stay clear of any controversial information and just focus on basic facts. The powerpoint presentation is attached for parents to review. Students will be completing a graphic organizer about these religions and will have an assignment based on these notes later in the week. Download European Religions Powerpoint
