8th Grade - no homework this weekend. I collected the tiered assignment (5 regions of Georgia) at the beginning of class today and the students took a quiz/almost there assessment. Unit 1 (Chapters 1 and 2) test is scheduled for Tuesday August 30th. Also the unit 1 notebook will be collected the same day as the test.
Site Visits and Current Events:The students will be responsible for three site visits during the year and six current events. Students received site visit and current event directions/rubric in class today...keep both in the keepers section of your notebook.

6th Grade - no homework this weekend. We went over the homework today in class and finished class presentations. 6th Graders: Please purchase a Social Studies CRCT Coach book ($10)...don't send a check right now. I will post details about purchasing the book later but would really like for every student in the classroom to have a copy...it will be used a lot in class.
